ABOUT ME

I am a born and bred Wisconsin native. Go, Packers! I am passionate about music, health and nutrition, and deep, meaningful relationships. I have been married since 2005 to my sweetheart and have three lovely girls. Those that know me would describe me as authentic, honest, and thoughtful. Because I have done my own personal growth work and continue to pursue overall health, I can genuinely empathize with the process of change and growth and the challenges that they can bring.

PRIVATE PRACTICE

I owned my own practice from 2017-2023 with the hopes of helping others who are in seasons of being at "the end of their rope” and longing for healing, wholeness, and stability. I recently joined Genesis Counseling Group in Elm Grove in October 2023. Please check out https://www.genesiscounselinggroup.com/ for more information. Personally, I take an invitational approach with my style of counseling but also the challenge that follows. My heart is moved by any person who has come to a place in their life where they feel stuck, are overwhelmed, grappling with sometimes life’s unanswerable questions. My therapeutic focus starts by creating a safe space for individuals to completely be their unique selves in an accepting, compassionate, and empathic environment. This is absolutely needed in order to begin to address needs and concerns and deepen personal understanding of self, others, and the world.

I studied Psychology and Spanish at the University of WI-Lacrosse, graduating in 2003. I went on to obtain my MA in Counseling Psychology in 2007 from Trinity International University in Chicago. After graduating I went on to work for a child placement agency in Atlanta, GA for several years working as a crisis counselor for children/adolescents and families. I am fully licensed in the state of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). I have experience in individual, couples, family, and group counseling, but currently only serve individuals ages 14-100.

Testimonials

I was looking for tools to help with family issues and was provided with perspectives and practices to accomplish what I needed and what helped others. Becky quickly arrived at understanding my issues and implemented steps for me to take that were comfortable for me to do. I am still using what I learned from her and always will. I greatly appreciate how I was counseled and for her compassion. I certainly will seek her out if I need help again.

Becky is the real deal. Inviting, warm, encouraging and skilled. She finds hope for each person she works with. Becky continues to seek professional and personal growth for herself.; she practices what she challenges her clients to pursue. It is a joy to be a fellow practitioner with her and a referral I can recommend with complete confidence.
